This blog is about appreciating good food and good bier.
It is not a restaurant review site, you won’t see a lot of details about service, decor, and so forth. Instead, what you will see are descriptions and photos of tasty meals and tasty biers.
We use the term “bier” rather than beer. Bier is the word for beer in both German and Dutch, and our use of this version is meant to distinguish the kind of quality brews traditionally made in Belgium, Germany, Netherlands from the more commonplace commercial mass-produced lagers that are usually associated with the word “beer”. To put it another way, we use the term “bier” to represent “quality craft beers”.
We are based in Vancouver, Canada but travel often, so you can expect to see a lot of Vancouver fare and craft biers from British Columbia along with posts about meals and biers from around the world.
